This route is not in the API yet. This page shows what it will do. Fields, examples and the playground arrive when it ships.
Changing the Product does not change the listings on its own. Propagation is an explicit command: you say which fields to carry (content, media, attributes…) and the mode.
inheriting_only: only listings that inherit the field. Those with their own value stay as they are and appear inskippedFields.selected: the same, but only on the listings inmarketplaceProductIds.force: removes the own value and goes back to inheriting from the Product.
Each affected listing becomes dirty and gets the marketplace_product.updated event. With publish: true, the route also creates the publish job of each one; if a Connection lacks the capability, only that listing fails. The response lists the result per listing. See Catalog and stock.
