Marketplace products

A MarketplaceProduct is the content of an item inside a Connection: title, description, attributes, media, category, and variations. It is what the marketplace displays and shares across offers. Each marketplace has its own name for it:

Price, inventory, and commercial rules do not live here. They live on the offer, the Listing.

• Every Listing points to one MarketplaceProduct (marketplaceProductId).
• Each variation of the MarketplaceProduct (MarketplaceProductVariant) links a local Variant to what the marketplace shows.
• The Listing binding points to a MarketplaceProduct variation.
• Two Listings on the same MarketplaceProduct share the content and differ in the offer: that is a price A/B test.

You do not create a MarketplaceProduct on its own. It is born with the Listing, by clone with marketplaceProduct: "copy", or by import.

Whatever you leave empty is inherited. From most specific to most general:

• Content: MarketplaceProduct variation ← MarketplaceProduct ← Variant ← Product.
• Offer: Listing line (binding) ← Listing.

Use resolved to see the final value and where it came from.

Tells whether the local content has reached the marketplace: never_published, dirty (changed and not published), pending, clean, or failed. A PATCH or a variations replacement marks it dirty.

No route here calls the marketplaceCopy Anchor Link

The routes in this group read and write only the local record, except content publication. Content reaches the marketplace when you call that route (content only, no offer) or publish the Listing.
